Bungee Jumping from the Souleuvre Viaduct
The Souleuvre Viaduct in Normandy was built during the 19th century by the famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel to carry the Caen – Saint Lô railway across the Souleuvre River. A permanent platform for bungee jumping was established by A. J. Hackett in 1990 atop the highest pillar. A light gangway was established where the railway platform used to be, allowing access to the platform from the side of the bridge. The viaduct offers a wonderful jumping experience amid the spectacular Normandy landscape and is easily accessible from our 2 holiday gîtes near Saint Lô and from our large beach house near Granville.
