General Rental Questions
What are your holiday rental periods
Generally all are bookings run from Saturday to Saturday, but we try to be flexible where we can. This means that during the school holidays there is less flexibility, but otherwise we will do what we can.
What deposit do we pay when renting your Normandy gites or beach house?
To confirm your booking you will need to pay your deposit, which is 50% of the rental price. The remainder is to be paid two calendar months before the start of your booking.
What payment methods do you accept for holiday rentals?
You can pay by cheque or by internet banking. If you wish to pay by credit card, then you can pay using Paypal, but there is a 3% surcharge on Paypal payments. We have bank accounts in the UK (for sterling payments) and in France (for Euro payments). We do not accept cash on arrival.
What security deposit do we pay for holiday rentals?
Our security deposit varies, but is generally 50% of the booking price. However, for parties and single sex groups, the deposit is up to 100% of the booking price. Your security deposit will be returned to you within 14 days of departure.
If you should cause damage beyond the cost of your deposit, you are also responsible for this. Our insurance company will pursue you for payment. We advise you in the strongest possible terms to take out insurance, including travel insurance in case your journey is impossible for reasons of sickness or the weather. While you may not be responsible for bad weather or a family sickness, nor are we.
The security deposit is due along with your final payment.
What is your holiday cancellation policy?
Payment is not normally refundable. If, however, cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival we will endeavour to resell the period and if successful, refund the payment less any additional costs incurred.
If the renter does not appear in the 24 hours following the arrival date marked on the booking form, the contract becomes null and void.
If the renter leaves before the end of the rental period, no monies will be returned to the renter.
